Here, I chat with an old Ohio University friend, Alex Sonneborn, currently a senior neuroscience Ph.D. student at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. We discuss Alex’s dissertation which examines the effects that novelty, or learning new things, can have on brain chemistry and more specifically, issues like depression, addiction and Alzheimer’s.
